Jemicy's Middle School - Science

In the Middle School science curriculum, each class studies an introductory subject. Students continually work on overall skill development, with an emphasis on critical thinking, laboratory experimentation, research and oral presentation. Subject areas are:

• Geological time
• Earth science
• The Chesapeake Bay

C Group
• Biology (cells, heredity, classification of living things)
• Plant processes and animal characteristics

Y Group
• Chemistry (elements and composition)
• Physics (motion, forces, energy, sound and light)
